On May 24th in the European parliament (EP) a STOA-STS forum conference on "Furthering international research cooperation in a fragmented world" took place. This meeting was organized by the EP Panel for the Future of Science and Technology (STOA) to a joined workshop with the Japanese Science and Technology in Society forum (STS).

In the second panel after the discussion of the policy dimension five practical examples were presented to show key best practices. Among those Thomas Pichler from the University of Vienna (Faculty of Physics) was invited to present  his experience in international research cooperation and especially with Japan using the example of our ERC-Synergy Project MORE-TEM.
